John D. Haggerty is an actor based in New York City. He has both Irish and Korean ancestry. John’s first childhood dream was to be a jockey but his 5’9” frame would not cooperate … though he spent his teenage and college years exercising thoroughbreds on farms and racetracks, notably Seoul Racecourse and Belmont Park. After college at Brown, John moved to New York to study acting and made his Broadway and National Tour debut with “Les Misérables.” His life took a turn when he moved to Paris for a few years, where he continued to work primarily in dubbing and voice-overs. Returning to New York, John has continued to gain credits in regional and Off-Broadway theatre. His interests outside of performing include horse racing and the perpetual work-in-progress of learning Spanish and French. On a lighter note - John is a great fan of limericks and can recite the race call of both the 1979 and 1980 Kentucky Derby.
